Product Description

Vulcanizing rubber cement, also known as rubber adhesive or rubber cement, is a type of adhesive used in the process of vulcanizing rubber. Vulcanization is a chemical process that involves treating rubber with heat and additives to improve its strength, elasticity, and durability.

Rubber cement is commonly used in tire repair and rubber manufacturing industries. It is applied to the surfaces being joined or repaired, and then the rubber is heated under pressure to bond the materials together. The cement provides a strong bond between the rubber surfaces, allowing them to withstand heavy use and stress.

Vulcanizing rubber cement typically contains a combination of rubber polymers, solvents, and accelerators. The rubber polymers provide adhesive properties, while the solvents help with the application and drying process. Accelerators are added to speed up the vulcanization reaction, ensuring the rubber cures quickly and efficiently.

This chemical vulcanizing cement contains accelerators, and when coming into contact with the face gum and any of our repair units or inserts, will begin the vulcanizing process straight away. It is incombustible and suitable for long-term storage, which makes it easy and safe for use and storage.

DIRECTIONS

1. CLEAN thoroughly a large area around the injury using Rubber Prep Buffing Solution and an inner liner scraper.

2. BUFF prepared the repair area to a velvety smooth RMA# 1 texture. Do not reclean with buffing solution.

3. CEMENT prepared area. Work well into rubber with stippling action making sure not to puddle. Allow the cement to dry completely, for 3-5 minutes.

4. APPLY THE REPAIR UNIT according to instructions on the repair material to be used.
